One of the criteria for selecting our new house is that it had to either have an additional garage or an area where one could be built. We liked this house and it’s location so I met with the building rep to come up with a plan.

We decided that a 24′ wide and 40′ long building would fit. I got the bid for the new building and we put an offer on the house and closed in early October.
Then, questions and issues started coming up about the location, the soil composition of the filled areas and the stability of the retaining walls holding the fill dirt. Suddenly, building the garage was in jeopardy.
Sounds like an exciting project, with many more to follow!
Lot’s of sub-projects to come.
